Maribel Perpiñá
Barcelona, 1961.
Bachelor in Business Studies and Audiovisual Communication, she specialized herself in artistic productions, linking together her business tradition with her vocation. Her first artistic productions were made in Berlin with Chema Alvargonzalez (Abwesenheit) and as product assistant with the artist Rebecca Horn.
With Rossana Chiessi, Pari & Disspari director, Italy, she takes part in the Villa Malaparte and participates in international contemporary art fairs.
In 1999 she works as director in Mário Sequeira Galery, Braga, Portugal, where she specializes in video-art.
She has worked as a curator in exhibitions and she has also produced video-art festivals. Some of the artists she has worked with are Mathilde ter Heijne, Holy Zausner, Catarina Campino, Andreas Kauffmann, Fúlvio Mendes and Vanessa Pey.
She is deeply interested in the use of new canals, the art delocalization and the new audience exploration. From 2002 onwards, she is director of laPinta, a platform that may help her to develop as a curator, audiovisual project producer and develop training programmes.
